Watch What Happens When A Huge Hydro-Electric Dam Opens Its Spillway for the Very First Time

The water level in the massive hydroelectric dam named the Banja Dam in Albania rose 550 meters above sea level. The spillway of the dam was opened for the very first time to allow the release of the excess water. The dam operators filmed the event from the air.

Initially, the camera is positioned right at the brink of the dam just at the mouth of the spillways.
As the water flows, the camera rises slowly upward till it is hundreds of feet above. The calming sight of water rushing downwards is oddly mesmerising.
