Try Pouring A Bottle Of water Down The Hoover Dam And It Will Flow Upwards. Here’s Why

Water Defies Gravity And Pours Upward At The Hoover Dam_Image 0

If you are planning a visit to the Hoover Dam, don’t forget to take your water bottle along with you. Try to pour the water in your bottle into the dam and you will get the surprise of your life. Instead of running downward, the water starts flowing in the upward direction.

Leslie Hutchings was visiting the dam when she tried to decant her water bottle in the dam:

“The structure of the dam creates an upward draft that makes water actually defy gravity – instead of traveling downwards, it is carried upwards by the wind. You have to see it to believe it! We didn’t know just how powerful it was until we experimented and poured water over the edge.”

Apparently, the strong drafts of wind are so intense that they can force the water to fly upwards. Want more of gravity-defying liquids? Watch this liquid as it pours itself and mocks gravity.
