YouTuber Mr.Beast Says He Received An Invite To Go On The Ill-Fated Titanic Sub But Declined

MrBeast, the popular YouTube star known for his philanthropy and extravagant videos, recently revealed that he had received an invitation to go on the ill-fated Titanic submarine, but turned it down. Just days after the tragic incident involving the OceanGate Titan vessel, MrBeast took to Twitter to share the news with his followers.

In a tweet on June 25, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, posted a screenshot of a text message he had received. The message mentioned an invitation to ride the Titanic submarine, without specifying the vessel’s name or the sender. MrBeast expressed his relief at declining the offer, saying, “Kind of scary that I could have been on it.”

This revelation came shortly after documentary maker and former EastEnders actor Ross Kemp also disclosed that he had turned down the opportunity to board the submersible. It seems that both individuals narrowly escaped a tragic fate.

One of the most well-known content producers on YouTube, MrBeast has more than 160 million members. He is well-known for his charitable work and exciting videos, and Forbes estimates his net worth to be $500 million. His YouTube channel is the fourth most subscribed on the site, and he is recognized for having invented a category of films that focus on pricey contests and risky exploits.

The Titanic submarine was part of a flagship journey organized by OceanGate Expeditions, offering an extraordinary opportunity to explore the wreckage of the legendary Titanic. Tragically, all five individuals aboard the submersible lost their lives when the vessel experienced a “catastrophic implosion” in the depths of the ocean.

Among those onboard were British explorer Hamish Harding, French submarine expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Pakistani-British tycoon Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman, as well as Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate Expeditions. The company had charged $250,000 for a seat on the sub, making it a truly exclusive experience.

While MrBeast and Ross Kemp may have escaped this devastating incident, the tragedy serves as a reminder of the risks associated with deep-sea exploration. The loss of life is a sobering reminder of the dangers that can arise even in the pursuit of extraordinary experiences.
