Tesla has announced the new Model S sedan, Model X crossover featuring a battery that will take you farther and faster than any other mass-produced vehicle.

Acceleration, performance, and enhance battery range are the most distinct characteristics of the new Tesla car. Model S P100D flaunting the Ludicrous Mode comes with considerably improved acceleration. Tesla compared the new Model S P100D to dream cars like LaFerrari and 918 Spyder.

Tesla claims that it is the fastest production car in the world that will be factory-produced for the masses. Elon Musk believes that the car will restore faith in sustainable transportation:

“I think this is going to send a great message to the public that sustainable transport is the future. It’s quite a historical milestone that the fastest car in the world of any kind is electric. I think that really says something about where the future is headed,

Model S comes with a 100 kWh battery with an EPA range of 315 miles. From an engineering point of view, the fact that Tesla managed to enhance the battery capacity in the same form factor is quite impressive.

The performance mode introduced by Tesla as the Ludicrous Mode allows improved acceleration. Model X P100D featuring the Ludicrous Mode can go from 0-60 miles/hour in mere 2.9 seconds. The range of Model X P100D on a single charge is 289 miles.

Model S P100D will hang a price tag of USD134500 while Model X 100D will be priced at USD135500. The cars equipped with the new battery will be delivered to the customers in September.

    All-electric self-driving cars are the future. It’s the Macintosh OS vs command-line OS all over again. People laughed at it then but then Windows came out and it suddenly wasn’t the future, it was now.

    Car manufacturers can get on board or go home. This aircraft is departing the gate, headed for the runway.
