Photographer Shoots For The $50,000 Audi Q2 Using A Miniature Toy Car

Advertisements cost lots of money. If it is an advertisement of a car and that too an Audi you can imagine how much that would cost. Felix Hernandez found an ingenious way of photographing for car ads. Felix has previously shot the Audi R8 using a $40 miniature toy car but his project this time was the Audi Q2 Middle East, and instead of shooting in the Middle East, he built a little one in his own studio.

The photographer specializes in miniature photography, but for this project, he pushed his own limits on which he commented saying, “Where I normally work with 1/18 scale models, for the Q2 launch I was commissioned to do a series of photographies using a 1/43 scale model. This was my first time doing this kind of photography with such a small model.”

To photograph for the Audi Middle East, Felix built an indoor runway using foam core, LEDs, and sand paper. He made sand dunes out of polvo fino (fine powder) by mixing it with a little water. The photographs were a real masterpiece that is all prepared to fool the world.

He built sand dunes and a runway, but building skyscrapers in a studio might have been a bit too much, so he flew with a fellow photographer to Dubai and got amazing shots of the Audi Q2 picturing the colorful and bright view of the city in the background.

Have a look at the pictures for yourself. The might leave you questioning the reality of everything in the world.
