A smartphone sales analysis has come up which shows that Huawei is the second biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Gartner just released the Q2 smartphone sales report. According to Gartner, Huawei shipped nearly 50M devices in the second quarter of 2018 and achieved almost 13.3% of the smartphone market share. Samsung is still at the top by selling nearly 72M units in the same quarter as Huawei. It owns 19.3% of the smartphone market. Meanwhile, Apple was able to sell only 44M units and was ranked third on the list.
Analysts say that Huawei is becoming a popular choice for consumers because of the addition of new and unique features in their devices. The brand is continuing to move up in the sales. This has pressurized Apple to bring some innovation and new features to their devices as well.
Apple’s market might have gone down if you compare it with the second quarter of 2017 but the market analysts expect that the company will soon be back in the game since it is not launching just one but three devices this year. This can be the reason why people are not buying smartphones currently and waiting for Apple to launch its devices so that they can choose while making the purchase.
