Don’t Want Any Spoilers For Game Of Thrones? This Company Now Offers Insurance For GOT Spoilers

Endsleigh Insurance Services Is Offering Spoiler Cover For GoT Fans

Endsleigh Insurance Services has launched its ‘Spoiler Cover’ package that will enable the Game of Thrones fans to receive monetary compensation for plotlines that are ruined by friends, family, or social media. Endsleigh Insurance Services is a British insurance company and has introduced the package considering the timing difference between the airing time of the last episode of Game of Thrones in the US and the UK.

The grand finale of the HBO series will be aired in the UK at 9 pm on Monday 20 May. That is about 19 hours after the finale gets aired in the US. This implies that the chances of plot leaks are at an all-time high. Endsleigh Insurance Services came up with the idea of providing some form of compensation to the viewers that can go up to hundred pounds if they become a victim of spoilers or plot reveals before getting to watch the episode.

Julia Alpan, head of marketing at Endsleigh Insurance Services, said, ‘Game of Thrones is one of the biggest shows of the last decade, and the finale promises to bring in some of the largest audiences on record. With the show historically airing on US screens ahead of the UK, spoilers have always been an issue – so we wanted to address that head-on with the first ever spoiler insurance policy, that will offer financial compensation for anyone whose day is ruined by an unwanted plot reveals. Whether it’s a colleague at work who has stayed up and streamed the show at 2 am, or a rogue news article giving away the story on social media – our Spoiler Cover will help provide consolation for fans who have had the ending revealed prematurely.’

To make the deal more tempting, Endsleigh Insurance Services is also offering Spoiler Cover claimants with consolatory NOW TV passes, thus enabling them to watch all eight seasons of the famous show for free. If this unorthodox package gets the required traction, the British insurance company might enhance the coverage to other TV shows as well. Julia Alpan further said, ‘This is the first time we’ve launched a spoiler insurance offering, but if we receive a good response then we might even roll the policy out for other popular TV shows – next up, Love Island!’

Game of Thrones fans who are interested in getting insured can head over to the website of Endsleigh and sign up. The successful claimants will be notified by May 31st.
