The BeoVision Avant2

What is missing from our TVs right now? No, we are not speaking about the number of channels that come via your cable network; we are talking about if you can make tweaks to make the experience better? Sure; improving the picture quality and sound quality are some really convincing factors, but what’s more impressive than that?
The BeoVision AvantAlright, let’s simplify it; how many of you watch TV in an upright posture or by always sitting at the same location/position? We are betting there are not many of you. That’s where Bang & Olufsen’s new 4K Tv; The BeoVision Avant comes in. This TV is capable of moving by employing special stands and mounts, which allow the TV to change its position.

The BeoVision Avant5The TV, without stands, costs $8,000 and B&O is seriously hoping that the experience it has managed to create for the viewers will be worth the money. We have witnessed motorized stands for TVs for quite some time now; but these one are far more elegant, noiseless and the wall mounts hardly affect the room decor.

The BeoVision Avant4Alright, so why is this TV priced so high? First off, it has the audio system, which will make you go *whooo-aaahhh*! You turn the audio system on and a speaker array will emerge from the bottom of the TV. It is composed of a trio of mid-range pairs and a 4 inch woofer to make things interesting. In case you want to seriously ‘drop the beat’, a 6 inch base driver is located at the back. The audio system, reportedly, is quite suitable for a large room and results were amazing even without the woofers being engaged. Upon engaging them, the system is capable of going from medium loud to extra loud and can crank up some real sound quality along with high volume. The speakers can be programmed to work with another room system too.

The mobile stands start at $895 and complete the package. We have a circular floor stand, called the planet, and is capable of rotating the TV according to user needs. This allows for a lot of options to choose from when it comes to TV viewing. One can also pre-program angles and have the TV set to those upon a single touch of a button.

The BeoVision Avant3The wall mount will allow you to adjust the TV’s angle given that your walls cater for this. The table stand is also capable of elevating the TV by a few inches but can’t rotate. There are five HDMI inputs and the TV comes equipped with sensors, which allow the adjusting of picture to take place depending upon the room lighting.

Although there are not many who would spend this much on a TV, but the fact remains that B&O have really outdone itself with such a great gadget. Check out the youtube video below for more:
