Empire State Building is no stranger to being struck by the lightning. In fact, stats reveal that lightning strikes the iconic edifice nearly 25 times each year.
However, the Big Apple was hit by a frightening thunderstorm on July 25. A photographer captured an amazing time-lapse footage showing the lightning strike the Empire State Building in New York.
The bolt of lightning zaps the skyscraper in this rare footage. In spite of the fact that the midtown high-rise building is hit by a bolt of lightning more than two dozen times a year, it is rarely caught on camera.
Pretty cool, huh?
