Watch A Russian KA-52 Helicopter Perform A Ridiculous Stunt Above Ukrainian Waters – And Nearly Crash

A Russian Kamov Ka-52 “Alligator” attack helicopter is seen in a new video conducting an incredibly dangerous stunt above Ukrainian water. The incident was risky for everyone involved, including the pilots.

Most likely, the daring stunt took place along the banks of the Isakivs’ke Reservoir. On May 30, the original video was released to the social network site Telegram.

The footage that has already gone viral on Twitter shows two Ka-52s. The first one flies sideways, parallel to the water underneath them. Then it suddenly rotates out of line as it approaches the shoreline to showcase its sideways flying ability.

The Ka-52 then scrapes against the shore for a few feet before spinning violently and almost hitting the seawater before settling. The second Ka-52’s distinctive ‘V’ symbol may be seen as it flies overhead at greater heights.

Another video posted to Twitter on May 29 shows a Ka-52 helicopter flying near the Ukrainian city of Alchevsk in the Luhansk Oblast.

The Ka-52 has been the core of Russia’s jet fighter force in Ukraine since the outset of the Ukraine-Russia crisis. However, a large number of these choppers have been lost or destroyed. Ka-52s take flight at extremely low altitudes in disputed territories to dodge Ukrainian MANPADS and sophisticated surface-to-air missiles.

But, what we see in the footage is totally pointless, and there is no justification for such a dangerous flight.
