Under the watchful eye of Professors Shai Shalev-Shwartz, Lior Wolf, and Amnon Shashau, Mentee Robotics has unveiled Menteebot, an AI-enabled household chore robot.
The company’s LinkedIn promotional video highlights Menteebot as an effective tool with dual uses for personal and professional settings. With its sophisticated artificial intelligence, this robot can quickly move through many scenarios and perform household chores like cleaning, folding laundry, and setting the table. Its versatility and usefulness are increased by its capacity to pick up new tasks quickly through spoken instructions and visual imitation.
Menteebot is an effective automation robot that can be used in business settings. It can find, pick up, and move objects up to 55 pounds (25 kilos). It provides continuous operation for up to five hours on a single charge, maximising efficiency in warehouse environments.
The company highlights the improved mobility of Menteebot, which allows for precise task performance and smooth integration into various environments. The robot’s advanced features, such as custom electronics, communication systems, and actuators that it built on its own, highlight how sophisticated its technology is.
Menteebot weighs 154 pounds (70 kg) and speeds at 3.4 mph (1.5 metres per second). It is 5.74 feet (175 cm) tall. Although It doesn’t have a distinct “head,” its utility and attractiveness are apparent, and it will likely attract owners in the future.
Menteebot’s integration of cutting-edge technologies like Sim2Real learning, real-time 3D mapping, dynamic navigation, and Large Language Models highlights its potential to alter human-robot interaction, even though exact details regarding its capabilities are still being worked out.
According to the company, Menteebot is a significant development in humanoid robotics. It provides a window into a future in which robots can improve productivity and streamline procedures in various industries.
