Thanks to a recent innovation, coffee aficionados can now savor their beloved drink even in the most remote regions. A Swiss firm called No Normal has unveiled a special coffee solution made for outdoor enthusiasts like climbers and trekkers. A convenient and adaptable solution to satisfy your caffeine craving is provided by this new product, a tube of dissolvent coffee paste.
This 100-gram aluminum tube of coffee paste can be consumed straight out of the tube, spread over pastries, or combined with water. For individuals seeking a rapid caffeine boost without the inconvenience of conventional brewing techniques, this approach is perfect. It is especially helpful for ultralight travel, when there isn’t much room for packing and it wouldn’t be feasible to bring a whole coffee equipment.
To make a cup of coffee, dissolve two tablespoons of the paste in either hot or cold water. Depending on the dimensions of your mug, each tube can yield anywhere from 15 to 25 cups. The tube is also recyclable, which makes it a sustainable choice.
For those who can’t spare water, the paste can be consumed directly or spread on food items like bananas or bread. Unlike instant coffee, No Normal’s paste is slightly sweetened with natural Swiss sugar, providing a more palatable taste.
The ability to eat the coffee paste straight from the tube sets No Normal apart from other portable coffee solutions. This feature eliminates the need for extra brewing equipment and saves time, allowing adventurers to get their caffeine fix without stopping their activities.
The first flavor available is a dark roast made from 100% Fair-trade-certified Colombian Arabica coffee, boasting a rich flavor with notes of chocolate, nuts, and caramel. No Normal launched this innovative product at Munich’s Outdoor by ISPO show and received an ISPO Award for its unique approach to coffee drinking.
No Normal’s coffee paste is priced at $18 per tube, which translates to less than $1 per cup. While shipping to the US and Canada costs around $17 for one tube, orders over $20 qualify for free shipping, making it more economical to order multiple tubes.
