Some people have this incredible power to work without distraction in the middle of a zoo, but, others have their focus destroyed even by the drop of a needle. There is no way to get rid of your coworkers once and for all, so you have to settle out by blocking the noise coming from them which pretty much is the better solution. The oversized noise canceling helmet “Helmfon” is there for your rescue now.
Ukranian design company Hochu Rayu has created the Helmfon, which is a massive isolation helmet to create a personal space for you. With sound absorption features to block out all the outside noise, it helps you to concentrate better. The helmet is made with glass fiber shell, membrane cloth, and foamed polyethylene. On an even brighter side, it also blocks out the inside noise so you can take your calls, hold Skype conferences, watch videos, or practically do anything privately while sitting in the middle of a dozen other people. However, there is a 100% chance that you would look like a nerd wearing this absurd thing sitting still among the hustle and bustle.
The idea for the helmet popped in Hochu’s head when a customer asked him to design a phone booth for an IT company. When they got on the project, they began thinking about the device that would “allow you to be in two worlds just sitting on your chair in the office, in a meeting, or everywhere you feel like just wearing your helmet.”
The Helmfon is not just a dumb helmet. It comes with an entire system on board including microphone, speakers, accumulator, magnifier, and ever a holder for your phone. You cannot deny that the helmet looks right out of the famous Star Wars parody Spaceballs, but the customization options make it sound better. You can get yours made with Minions and Batman-inspired designs.
If you are digging your pockets to get one already, stop right now! The Helmfon is still in the prototyping stage, and the company is working to develop a commercially viable design which will be available for sale, but we do not know how long will that be. Wait till then!
