Online shopping consists of a lot of hits and misses especially if the listings are not properly verified. Getting scammed is pretty common but this Thai teenager got a lot more than what he bargained for. If you see a deal that is too good to be true, 100 percent it is not true.
A teenager recently got his own ten minutes of internet fame after going online shopping. He stumbled upon a cheap iPhone deal which was too good to be true and what he got was a coffee table, shaped like an Apple iPhone, in return. Who would have thought? I mostly expect a box full of rocks.
Now usually if you see an expensive and luxurious product online for sale and it is being sold for much much cheaper than its market price. Something is wrong, However, you still have a need to verify if the deal is legit or not. Sometimes though, people get carried away and buy it before someone else does. The teenager did the same, thinking that he got a pretty good deal.
He knew something was wrong when the package was delivered. The box of the ‘phone’ was almost as tall as him. He opened the box and found an iPhone inside just as expected but what he didn’t expect was that the iPhone was actually an iPhone-shaped coffee table. This is what happens when you don’t read the descriptions folks.
The teenager mentioned with his pictures that he did think that the shipping cost was oddly higher than usual but the deal was too sweet to pass up. In reality, there was no deal. The youth’s pictures and the story soon went viral on social media (as it should) and the news was also picked up by a number of Asian websites.
So in case you guys also want an iPhone but can not afford one. You can show off with your very own iPhone-shaped coffee table. I’m sure you can find one on eBay or Amazon, just make sure to read the description and not accidentally buy an actual iPhone instead.
