Take A Tour Inside The Amazing Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam is a concrete arched dam in the Colorado River that was constructed during the Great Depression under the Leadership of the US President Franklin D.Roosevelt. This epitome of Engineering and Innovation was made of a spectacular 6.6 million tons of concrete and stretched for 1,244  feet over the Black Canyon. Moreover, the dam is an arched-gravity dam which means its thicker at the bottom and thinner at the top.

The dam, whose construction cost about a hundred lives is considered one of the seven engineering marvels of the world and throngs of people visit it every year. The power plant tours take visitors 530 feet into the dam where visitors can actually see the hydroelectric generators and the passageways that are hidden deep underneath.
