The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was a nightmare for the company and for every person that dared to own one. The Note 7 went back but people’s love for Samsung has now come back with a bang, and the Note 8 has gathered its fans again. The phablet was revealed on Wednesday in an hour long presentation at the Launch event held in the UK.

The biggest attraction to the note series is the signature stylus that has many people hooked despite the Note 7 debacle. The Keynote lasted an entire hour, but The Verge has wrapped that up in an 8-minute summary.

The features of the upcoming Note 8 had been no mystery and pretty much overlap with the flagship Galaxy S8 device. The stylus equipped phablet comes with Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant, rivaling Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s Assistant.

The Note 8 has come out as quite an upgrade even compared to the recently released Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Both the flagship devices feature the Snapdragon 835 processor from Qualcomm but the Note packs in a massive 6GB of RAM as compared to the 4GB of S8. The screen is only slightly bigger, so you won’t be able to tell both the phones apart even when they lie side by side.

The 3300mAh battery is a slight upgrade and the dual camera at the back of the Note 8 sets it apart from the S8. The two 12-megapixel cameras appear to be the first in the industry where both sensors offer optical image stabilization. The wide-angle lens has an aperture of f/1.7 while the telephoto lens is f/2.4. The possibilities of what you can explore with the incredible camera are immense, offering many photo modes.

Your motivation to go from the Galaxy S8 costing £779 (USD 997) to the Galaxy Note 8 worth £869(USD 1112) could be the first ever dual camera and the stylus. The nearly bezel-less infinity display is a feature that has not changed. Whether or not more people will opt for this phone? We will have to wait and see once it is released all across the globe.
