Luxury automakers like Aston Martin, Bentley, and Bugatti have expanded their expertise beyond cars, and now Porsche Design is joining the trend with its new project: the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok, a luxury tower that draws inspiration from its cars.
Standing at 95 meters (311 feet) tall, the tower will be a striking yet sophisticated addition to the Thai capital’s skyline, though it won’t compete with the supertall structures like the Mercedes-Benz Places in Dubai.
The building’s design takes cues from Porsche’s car aesthetics, particularly the Mission R concept car, which serves as the inspiration for the tower’s base. The tower will also feature a “Crown” at the top, incorporating lighting reminiscent of Porsche sports cars’ signature headlights. Even the facade reflects Porsche’s innovation, with a design inspired by the roof mechanism of the Porsche 911 Targa, creating a sleek and modern exterior. A unique automated terrace door system encourages a fluid transition between indoor and outdoor living.
The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is more than just luxury living; it’s a haven for car lovers. The 21-floor tower will house exclusive Passion Spaces—private garages designed for residents to display and maintain their car collections. These spaces also serve as social hubs, where residents can host gatherings surrounded by their prized vehicles. Access to these areas will be provided by the Loop, a spiral car ramp, offering a more practical solution than the car elevator used in Porsche’s Miami tower.
“Porsche enthusiasts can now showcase their vehicles in a space that reflects their passion,” highlights the company, emphasizing the tower’s blend of automotive design and luxury living.
The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will consist of 22 ultra-luxurious Sky Villas, spread across the 21 floors of the tower. These residences, priced between $15 million and $40 million, offer up to 1,135 square meters (12,000+ square feet) of living space. Each Sky Villa will feature luxury furniture, bespoke kitchens, and access to premium amenities, including a swimming pool, fitness center, and a business lounge.
The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is being developed in collaboration with Ananda Development and is set to break ground next year, with an expected completion date in 2028.
