The new era of connectivity is not as luxurious as it sounds. Remember the good old days when you could avoid talking to someone by simply not picking up the phone and then tell them you were not home? While the smartphones have solved dozens of our problems for us, they have brought a million others. Not responding to texts within seconds can now be a major disaster for your relationships. We are not saying you need that kind of toxic relationships in life, but if you are one of those people who somehow reads texts, and then forgets to reply, WhatsApp has a solution for you. Yes, that same app that brought you to your doom with those blue ticks and the online appearance.
The new WhatsApp feature will let you pin at most three conversations to the top, so whenever, if ever, you forget to reply, the conversation will stay at the top to remind you and to save you from the wreck you might otherwise create. The update is available WhatsApp Android Version 2.17.162 and above.
Long press a conversation that you want to keep at the top, a pin icon will appear at the top along with the mute option. If you tap it, a small pin will be visible on the right of the conversation. Unpinning is also as simple as that; long press the conversation and tap the pin icon.
WhatsApp is also planning to add a real-time location tracking feature, and we are not sure if people will curse it or appreciate it. Another feature allowing users to revoke their sent messages is also under testing, and we do not know when that will be released.
