The chief operating officer of Neom, Giles Pendleton, recently released aerial photos that show construction activities at The Line, which serves as Saudi Arabia’s primary development under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 program. The helicopter-based photos show the initial construction activities and infrastructure development throughout the Neom region.
The Saudi Arabian development of Neom in its northwest position works to transform Saudi Arabia’s economic structure by using futuristic projects that emphasize tourism and technology while promoting sustainability. The Line stands as the central element of this grand plan because it extends 170 kilometers as a linear urban structure. The design features two skyscrapers that reach 500 meters in height while remaining 300 meters apart from each other and provides all social and economic activities within this confined space through high-speed rail transportation.

The building project has started construction on essential city components, as shown through the massive concrete structure. A long water pipeline runs through the landscape as workers construct concrete foundations and walls for its installation. The project’s commitment to sustainable energy becomes more evident through the installation of more than sixty wind turbines in the desert area.
The Port of Neom and Oxagon industrial hub display active construction activities through their operational cranes and heavy machinery, which indicates the foundation development for The Line and other Neom project elements. The development of The Line continues, but questions persist about its complete length and the total number of inhabitants it will attract.
The project now targets 300,000 residents for 2030, but Saudi officials maintain their dedication to creating this innovative technological metropolis.
