New Cell Phone Tower Designs Make Shabby Looking Poles A Thing Of Past

camouflaged_cell_towers (18)

The drastic increase in cellular network users means  that there are a lot of cell phone towers located all around cities and even remote areas. These sometimes spoils the natural scenery of surrounding areas and many people even view the bare towers as plain ugly. Companies have, therefore, started to disguise their cell phone towers as flag poles, church towers, trees, water tanks, and many other features. The disguised towers are called “stealth towers” or “stealth installations”.

Photographer Robert Voit has been photographing these hidden towers for seven years across different parts of the globe including the US, Britain and South Africa. Despite their disproportionate and outlandish appearance, these structures still blend successfully with the surroundings as show below.
