Here’s How To Know If Your iPhone’s Battery Needs Replacement

iphone

iPhone’s slowdown news came in by the end of last year and after the confirmation, the brand apologized and offered discounts to fix the issue. The company has offered to exchange the batteries of phones from January end to December 2018 all over the world. Users will need to pay only $29 instead of $79 to replace the battery.

The question is, how would you know if your iPhone really needs a new battery or there is some other issue that is slowing it down? Instead of wasting $29, there are two methods that you can use to determine if the battery is the issue at hand.

First, you can get an app CPU DasherX for $0.99. It generates a CPU Frequency report for your iPhone’s processor. Then it compares the number obtained to the actual speed that your phone should have. If the number matches, the phone’s great but if the number is half of what it should be then a battery replacement will revive your phone and spending those $29 won’t be a waste.

The second method requires you to have a Mac and a third party software called Coconut Battery. There is no windows or Linux version available for it. You can use the software’s 14-day trial to test the battery status.

So before you make the plunge, try out these two apps to see if your phone battery needs replacement!
