Apple makes amazing smartphones, almost unmatched in their performance. But are they right about everything? The iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X were revealed just a few weeks ago, and the company claimed that the glass back on the phones is the strongest glass that has ever been used on a smartphone.
You believe Apple because you can not crash your expensive new phone to try it out. Sadly, Apple lied. Despite making some of the best smartphones in the market, the company stretches the truth a little too far. This time, it was not something small that can be ignored. It was not even a stretched-out truth. It was an utter lie. This professional drop test machine tested out the iPhone 8 and proved it.
The glass back is the strongest that Apple has put on their phones to date? We’ll agree. Does it have a copper-infused layer as Apple said? We’ll believe that too. Is it the strongest glass that has ever been on the market? Nope, nope, nope. That is a big fat lie. YouTuber Phone uses a professional drop test machine on every major smartphone. Poor iPhone 8 became a victim too against none other than its top rival Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
The good news and the bad news is, both phones proved to have horrible glass backs but Samsung probably didn’t lie.
For us, fortunately, there is a phone on the market with a solid glass back that would survive any fall.
