Having one Guinness World Record isn’t enough for some people. Mohammed Khurshid Hussain is one of those people. The 23-year old held the record of being the fastest typist with a time of just 3.43 seconds. That record was with his fingers, now he has done it with his nose.
The mission sounds simple enough – to type the sentence “Guinness World Records have challenged me to type this sentence using my nose in the fastest time” using his nose in the fastest possible time. But the previous record of 1 minute and 33 seconds set by another Indian, Neeta, stood between Mr. Hussain and his goal.
Although the previous record seemed tough to beat, Mr. Hussain completed the task within a pretty big margin. The new time was set at just 48.62 seconds. Mr. Hussain said that, “If you want to set a record, every millisecond counts.”
He is still currently waiting for the Guinness certificate for his previous record of 53.44 seconds and beat his own record while doing so. “This time I typed with one eye closed, as it is difficult otherwise to locate the keys. This is my second attempt to break the record. Earlier last month, I typed the sentence with my nose in 53.44 seconds, for which I am yet to receive the certificate.”
The verification of the record breaking attempt could take four months. Mr. Hussain has proven that just because you are waiting for one record to be verified, doesn’t mean you cannot set another. Thumbs up young guy!
