This Futuristic Floating Iceberg Skyscraper Aims To Reverse The Effects Of Climate Change

After the incredible Mashambas farming skyscraper, here’s another entry from the 2017 Evolo Skyscraper Competition that aims to change the world for better. Whether you believe it or not, it is a proven fact that climate change is tearing our environment apart to an unprecedented and irreversible extent. But Heal-Berg skyscraper aims to turn the tide, as the gigantic iceberg-shaped skyscraper claims to halt, heal, and reverse climate change using world’s most innovative green technology.

The Heal-Berg proposal aims to build a futuristic floating skyscraper to improve the environment. The building will be capable of cleansing and purifying the immediate air with the help of a laser, a technique invented by the University of California, Davis that zaps carbon dioxide in the air and converts it into oxygen.

The entire building would run on sustainable energy using osmotic power and wind turbines due to the aerodynamic design of this building. The entire structure will be built using 3D printing technology and a green form of graphene which is one of the strongest lightweight materials that exist in this world.

If that’s not tech savvy enough, the Heal-Berg will also host a Hyperloop that would zoom around and provide a fast access and connectivity to the inhabitants. The drones will be used to provide mobility within the residential units and different complexes. The designers explain the healing skyscraper as utilizing,

“some of the most recent innovative technology breakthroughs from all around the world, and combine[s] them as elements of a greater embodiment operating as a whole to achieve a goal, survival.”
