Elon Musk seems to be always in the news lately. He has now released pictures for Tesla Model 3 after it traveled 1 Million Miles to flaunt the longevity of his cars.
Musk released pictures of the Model 3 after 1 million miles of testing and has impressed even critics.
Musk and his team had been striving to achieve the 1 Million Mile goal since 2015.
In 2015, Musk and his team had said:
“We are very happy with the quality of the drive unit. We changed the goal of the drive unit endurance from being approximately 200,000 miles to being a million miles – just basically we want drive units that just never wear out. That’s our goal. I think we made really good progress in that direction. the drive unit that is going out now and for the last several months have been excellent.”
Musk’s Tesla Model 3 tweet comes about a week after Musk tweeted about the high safety performance features of Model 3. The Milestone is another feather in the cap of the Company especially after the NHTSA, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, gave the Tesla Model 3 an all-around five-star safety rating.
This is another bogus Tesla brag – putting a million miles on a device in a few months or years has no ability to determine actual lifespan of that device. which will normally require 10 to 15 times more time to accumulate 1 million miles and would have to overcome wear and tear due to environmental factors, like repeated heating/cooling, driving in a manner unlike that of the test, etc. Tesla is one corrupt and misleading company.
