Aptera’s New Electric Vehicle Can Go Up to 1000 Miles And Does Not Need To Be Charged

Aptera has released the concept of its latest solar-powered three-wheeler Electric Vehicle, and it is a sight to behold. Interestingly, you won’t need to plug it in for charging.

In a description of the three-wheeler was written, “Driven by the power of the sun.” This new technology would serve as a break-through in electric vehicles. Aptera claims their latest developed three-wheeler (fully-optioned) is good to go for 1000 miles with a full battery.

Park-Mode Solar Charging

The new Aptera solar, powered by the sun, is a tremendous addition to utilizing renewable energy. The vehicle can carry two passengers and has specified space for pets, making the road trips perfect. It comes with a solar-powered roof that charges the vehicle on park-mode and gives 72 km of range each day.

Aptera Co-founder, Chris Anthony in a press release, said that you are always on the go with the new never charge technology. The built-in solar array driven by the power of the sun keeps the battery charged. You start the vehicle, and you are good to go.

The built-in solar array is the key part and innovation in technology in this three-wheel vehicle. As per an estimate, it could harvest enough energy to make the car good to go for approximately 11,000 miles per year.

0-60 MPH In 3.5 Secs

The company list down its specifications: the Solar electric vehicle can go from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds when in all-wheel-drive mode. And it can go from zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds when in front-wheel drive. The vehicle has a top speed of 100 mph, which is quite impressive for an all solar electric vehicle.

Its Never Charge Solar array is around three square meters by 700 watts. It could charge the EV up to 60 kM when in park mode. There are some variants, with the price starting from $25,900 up to $46,900 depending on the added options and chosen range. The world will see the maiden solar-powered electric vehicle rolling on the roads in 2021.
