An Astronaut May Have Suffered A Medical Emergency At The International Space Station

In a first, CNN has reported that Mark Vande Hei has had a minor medical issue. The astronaut is currently present at the International Space Station. Unfortunately, due to this medical emergency, an extravehicular activity (EVA) or spacewalk had to be delayed, which was otherwise scheduled.

NASA assured the individuals following the incident that “it was not a medical emergency.”

The EVA has now been rescheduled, which was initially planned for Tuesday, according to CNN. However, it was suggested that the issue needs diligence as it is substantial enough that one thing is for sure that Vande Hei won’t be available for the job.

Now, after the SpaceX Dragon cargo, resupply will happen earlier than expected, and after that, the spacewalk will take place.

The cosmonaut in question, Vande Hei, travelled to the ISS onboard a Soyuz spacecraft along with Oleg Novitskiy and Pyotr Dubrov.

This story is still developing; updates will be added soon.
