“I used to have a tarp to cover my firepit. While it seems to be the cheapest alternative at first, in the long run, I found that they are falling apart just after one year, besides they don’t look good. Finally, I decided to purchase a proper cover (Duck Covers brand). Fortunately, it was delivered fast enough to arrive right before the new bunch of rains, which put the cover for a test for a few days. I was pleased to find the inside of the firepit to be bone dry. The seams are made by glueing or thermal welding, so no danger of rain coming through them. I do not know how well the fabric is breathable; it seems quite dense, but no condensation inside so far. I like how it looks on my firepit, definitely better than a tarp, the picture is attached. Note that I got the size of the cover notably bigger than the fireplace. As for my experience the sizes of the sheets usually run on the smaller side, so better to get bigger.
