10 Best Digital Laser Measure For Ultimate Accuracy

A laser rangefinder is usually employed to determine the distance to inanimate objects. A powerful range finder can go as long as 20km while the ones listed here cover around average 40 meters. They are ideal for use in homes, offices, personal gyms, industries and in warehouses.

Let’s go through them.

10. HDE Digital Laser Measure ($11.49)

This smart digital tape comes with an infrared pointer. It has a measuring range of 2 to 60 feet and a working frequency of 40 kHz. You can measure either in feet or meters as well as find the area and volume of the room. The ultrasonic distance measuring meter allows you to measure, store, and calculate distances. Press “READ” to turn on the device. This distance meter allows you to store three different measurements. The distance meter turns itself off if no key is pressed within about 30 seconds.

“Works in a few minutes after installing the batteries. Easy to use. Requires a flat reflective surface. I tried to gauge the distance to a car license plate on the front of the car. It shows the laser beam on the license plate but lists ERROR. It did work on a flat side of a minivan. The read out is some feet and one inch, not fractions of an inch. Accuracy I measured in a room, is comparable to a tape measure but no readings in fractions of an inch. Probably could use meters to get centimetre readings instead of inches. It starts up with the last reading you took. The automatic shutoff saves the battery. Just don’t get confused that the reading was a new reading when it was the last reading before the automatic shutdown.

The price is right! It does what I need most of the time. It saves me time. When I need greater accuracy, then I will consider the more expensive laser measurement systems and buy some laser “targets” to attach to the object. Remember the technology is based on reflected sound, or light in other types. Irregular surfaces require a “target”.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

“This little gadget is going to make future home projects so much easier. In fact, I wish I had had one when I was trying to install my fitness pole. It needed to be mounted in the centre of the room, but we measured along the wall with a measuring tape, and the inaccuracy made it hard to get the right pole extensions. It does so many different calculations for you, and it comes with a carrying case! My only quibble is that the instruction manual seems to be Google translated from another language, so there’s a small learning curve, but it is not that difficult to figure out if you don’t mind taking the time. I received this item at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. – Amazon’s Customer Review.

Very impressed with this Handheld Laser. It measures the distance between objects and does it very accurately. But there are multiple ways in which you can utilise it. I got this because I know my husband will be using it all the time. He is constantly in the garage building things, tinkering, coming up with remodelling plans and does that on the side so this is something exactly like what he needs. I don’t know all of the technical stuff; you can read the listing to get that information.

“What we can tell you is that it works great. It feels good in your hand – the two batteries you need are included, and it’s such a quick and easy read. Overall, I am impressed. My husband is going to love this. I would recommend it.” – Amazon’s Customer Review

This 40m long, portable digital unit can make use of Pythagorean theorem to measure distances or lengths indirectly when direct measurement is not feasible. It is ideal for measuring length, area, tolerance, volume and liquid level. It has a great use in construction and industries, especially in large regions such as rooms, apartments, buildings, real estates, factories, warehouses.

“I’m euphoric with this tool. I needed it to quickly (and accurately) make three measurements on 34 separate windows. I also wanted to something that measured correctly to 1/16th of an inch and CiBest did very well.
I checked the first three measurements against my tape measure and made periodic checks to ensure. It was right on target each time. Occasionally I would come across a large variance where the top horizontal measurement of 72″ window would be 54 3/8″ but the bottom horizontal measurement would be 53 9/16″ across. So I would double check with my tape measure to be sure, and it was accurately reporting the distances.
I’m happy with my purchase, and I know it’ll come in handy in the future.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

“This is the best unit I have used in years I have been a loyal user of Bosch distance meters and decided to give this one a try after losing my last one on a job site… I use these meters to measure major European showers that are 3/8 to 1/2 thick glass with mitred corners and tiny metal involved, so measurements have to be exact…. This unit does the job perfectly and has twice the features as the Bosch at half the price. Very compact and has everything you need to get started. Read the instructions to figure out the kind of measurement you need; it took me a couple of try’s, but I finally got it. Money well spent” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

The 40m range product can quickly calculate the area or the volume of the measured units. You may also add and subtract your measurements. It has a large LCD with a backlight which allows measurements in the dark as well. It is widely used in construction and industries, especially in large areas such as rooms, apartments, buildings, real estates, factories, warehouses, etc.

“I love this thing, it makes measuring way too easy, and I’m afraid my measuring skills will disappear if I continue to use this in place of measuring tape. This might be a good thing. When I first used it, I thought it was off, so I took a second measurement to find it was my measuring and not the Rangefinder. Matter of fact, after quite a few attempts using this in different areas I, sadly to say, found this Rangefinder more accurate than my measurements. This will never be able to replace the measuring tape for tight spaces and unique areas, but it sure is a great alternative for those long distance measurements that require someone to hold the dumb end of measuring tape.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.

2. Etekcity Digital Laser Measure ($13.88)

This non-contact, digital laser product comes with infrared technology making this thermometer handy to use when cooking and barbecuing, performing auto maintenance and doing home repairs. The distance to spot ratio is 12:1, meaning the laser grip can accurately measure targets at greater distances compared to most other IR thermometers. A built-in laser gives you the precision to hone in on the exact space you want to calculate. Temperature readings from this devices are inanimate objects. The LCD screen is backlit, also has an auto-off function to extend the battery life, and features a low battery indicator so you never accidentally run out of it (battery included).

“Overall this is an excellent product. The grip is excellent; the display screen has a backlight, and you can’t beat the price.

An easy way to test the accuracy of this thermometer is to measure the temperature of a pot of boiling water. This will roughly give you a temperature of 212 F. Boiling water, in equilibrium (or the entire fluid being the same temperature) will maintain 212F no matter how quickly the water is evaporating. The reason this is a rough estimate is that the boiling temperature of water changes with salinity and altitude.

The thermometer I received was reading around 208-212 F. So how does this compare to the top end model? I am an engineer who provides safety-related components to nuclear power plants. We use the $200+ model which is calibrated by a separate vendor. Our calibration standard is 1.5C which is 209.3F as our lower end tolerance. So this thermometer would NOT be suitable for qualifying safety related components for nuclear plants. Except you aren’t trying to qualify safety related components.

In practice, these are used for taking a quick, general measurement of fluid temperature or identifying heat losses. I wouldn’t expect many people to need to use these to get correct temperatures. I have used this at my home to identify what rooms are cooler than others, draughts around doors or windows and leaks in the HVAC system.

I would greatly recommend purchasing this over the higher end thermometers. Very solid product and accurate.” – Amazon’s Customer Review

1. Bosch Digital Laser Measure ($44.88)

This 50 feet, compact digital laser product has a continuous measurement mode which starts measuring as soon as it’s turned on. The laser precision technology has accuracy up to 1/8-inch and the unit is easily portable and will rest on any flat surface. The distance ranges up to 50-feet.

“I admit, I was surprised by just how lightweight and small this laser measure is. It’s pocket-size. In a large tool box, it could quickly become overshadowed by larger devices. While the product description says “1.9 x 5 x 8.2 inches”, I’m not sure where the 8.2 inches comes from. The laser measure is 1.9 inches across, 5 inches long, and about an inch thick.

The laser measure works very efficiently. I tested it all over the house, and it didn’t miss a measurement at all. The only downfall is that my cats and dog saw it as a fun toy. I had to keep shooing them away. It does state that the laser measure will not give an accurate measurement if the laser pointer is on insulation, glass, metal, or porous surfaces/stone. That may limit its usefulness to some. I did find it had a hard time dealing with our basement walls; they’re a cinder block.

The laser measure is simple to use, it’s all one-button control, so you don’t need anyone to help. It won’t be useful in measuring a piece of lumber, but if you require getting room measurements to order flooring or paint, this is the handiest tool I’ve come across.” – Amazon’s Customer Review.
