Meet this surprisingly amazing and adaptive foldable phone that has been recently introduced by Xiaomi. The model “Xiaomi Mix Fold 2” has come up with some impressive specifications this time, and it should be noted that the company unveiled the model right after Samsung reported the arrival of its upcoming next generation of foldable handsets. Xiaomi has definitely focused on gaining a competitive advantage in order to capture the market. At the heart of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is its “slimmer design, bigger display, along with an affordable price.”
Coupled with this, Xiaomi also made a revelation last year when it introduced the original Mi Mix Fold. But this time, it has come up with cutting-edge technology as the phone features the thriving Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC flagship chipset with a capacity of 128 GB of RAM. In addition to this, there are a lot of other options through which you can store your data, which offer you a storage capacity ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB. Moreover, Xiaomi claims that this model is the “world’s thinnest foldable phone.” This is exciting, isn’t it?
Coming to the color specs, which is one of the most discussed points among the customers, Xiaomi has featured two colors for its Mix Fold 2 this time, i.e., Gold or Black. This is really a unique pick of the combinations that make it look more grandiose. Due to its foldable nature, it comes with two displays, the outer and the inner one, and that too, with an extensive outlook. The outer display is a 6.56-inch OLED display with an aspect ratio of 21:9, while the inner display comprises an 8.02-inch screen integrated with LTPO 2.0 tech. However, in comparison, both these screens are comparatively larger in size than the Samsung screens of the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 features an outer display of 6.2-inches OLED and an inner display of 7.6-inches OLED. For the outer display, “Corning Gorilla Glass Victus” has been used as a protector, and for the inner display, “Schott ultra-thin glass” material is deployed. Let’s move towards the most interesting feature of the phone, i.e., the camera. You would be astonished to know that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 has come up with a “triple camera setup with a primary 50-megapixel camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide, and an eight-megapixel telephoto with 2x optical zoom.”
On that count, the company has only announced its sales in China. There is no information on how long will it take to go to the international markets. Last but not the least, the price of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 has been set at CNY 8,999 (around $1300 USD) and this is considerably less than that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 which falls in the range of CNY 13,999 (around $2,000 USD).
