Watch This Samsung Galaxy Fold Phone Get Folded By A Robot For 200,000 Times

We all have been hearing about foldable phones. The manufacturers do put forward claims including the phone’s durability and what not. However, we had not seen any test that was carried out to back these claims up until Samsung carried out the durability test for its Galaxy Fold phone.

Samsung subjected its Galaxy Fold phone to a folding test that was equivalent to phone usage of five years. During the unveiling of its Galaxy Fold phone, Samsung became the victim of rumors that stated that a crease in the middle was forming of its latest gadget. To put all doubts to rest, Samsung unveiled this video of the phone undergoing folding a total of 200,000 times.

Samsung’s statement about the folding test of its Galaxy Fold phone states, ‘Naturally, given the smartphone’s design, a Folding Test was a pivotal part of the Galaxy Fold’s durability assessment. This test, which examines whether the Galaxy Fold can outlast 200,000 folds and unfolds (or around five years of use, if used 100times a day), takes a full week to complete. While the extent of the test may seem like overkill to some, Samsung viewed it as vital to ensuring the durability of the device’s hinged design and Infinity Flex Display.’

The video is amazing to watch and demonstrates just how durable the Galaxy Fold phone actually is and puts all of the rumors about a crease in the middle to the grave. Samsung continues to move forward with its innovative designs, and we are glad that the company has not sacrificed on the durability of its devices for the sake of launching early. This test proves, if nothing else, that Samsung is committed to durability and quality, as always. Check out the video below and do let u know what you think of Samsung Galaxy Fold phone and the folding test that it passed with flying colors.
