After the emergence of the flying bike, here comes a flying car that has been exquisitely designed by Chinese electric-car maker XPeng. It has been manufactured on the concept of eVTOL, which made its sizzling debut in Dubai on Monday. This flying car, also known as X2, has flown for the first time in front of the public after getting authorization from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. This was one of the most critical and challenging projects for the company, and it is now going to open new doors for future research in a similar domain. Watch the video below to see the first public appearance of Xpeng’s X2:
Coupled with this, the company has developed it in accordance with the safety standards that are necessary for the conduct of safe flights. And this was the reason that the Civil Aviation Authority of Dubai granted permission to the company because it fulfilled all of its risk assessment parameters. Furthermore, the car made its first public appearance at Skydive Dubai on Monday, and there were 150 spectators capturing the beautiful sight of this bastion of advanced technology. However, the company said that it has futuristic plans for the manufacturing of such flying cars that are going to be unveiled in the near future, and this recent short flight of X2 brought it one step closer to the ambitious goals of the firm.
In addition to this, Brian Gu, Vice Chairman and President of XPeng, said, “XPeng’s X2’s public display in Dubai represents a significant milestone for XPeng AeroHT and the international achievement of flying cars. Dubai is a world-renowned “City of Innovation,” which is the reason we decided to hold the X2 first public flight event here. Today’s flight is a major step in XPeng’s exploration of future mobility. ” Also, it should be noted that a “sixth-generation flying car” is going to become the successor of this X2 eVTOL, as stated by the company last year.
Talking about the specifications of the car, it is a two-seater all-electric car that is capable of flying at a maximum speed of 130 km/h (81 mph) and can go to a maximum altitude of about 1,000 m. Interestingly, X2 has the capability to remain in the air for a period of 35 minutes against every charge. Above all, this all-electric flying car is quite a masterpiece.
