Utah University Installs A Cry Closet For Stressed Out Students

Students at the University of Utah now have a cry closet which allows them to cry in private without being judged by their peers. College can get pretty stressful with homework, exams, and student debt that sometimes you need a good cry before getting back on the horse.

Everyone is not comfortable letting those tears roll free in public so the University decided to help the students by installing a small cry room in the campus library. University student Nemo Miller is also a visual artist and created the cry closet in woodshop class. It is lined with black interior and features plush stuffed animals.

There are specific rules for the closet posted outside and you can only stay in there for ten minutes. Only one student can enter at a time and you have to knock before entering. You also need to turn off the light when you leave.

The closet has been getting a lot of attention on social media in the last few days. There are mixed reactions. Some people love the idea and believe that it should be there in all colleges. Some are not so much in favor and are questioning the practicality as the walls are not soundproof and people get to hear you anyway.
