Pfizer vaccine will be out in the market within hours of its final approval, due next week. The much-awaited news was reported in financial times, “The U.K. is set to approve the BioNTech SE and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine next week.
UK will be the first to clear the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine
As per the news, the Pfizer vaccine that has seen 95 percent effectiveness in its results would be rolled out in the first week of December. The U.K has already made an early order for 40 million of its doses.
Not only this, the U.K is pacing up against the Covid-19 pandemic and has also acquired 100 million doses of AstraZeneca’s produced vaccine. The country on Friday asked its medical experts and its regulatory authorities to assess it for mass rollouts.
Official statements are being made where U.K’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made responsible a Junior Minister, Nadhim Zahawi, to deploy Covid-19 vaccines in the country soon.
Most other vaccine development programs from the U.S, Russia are also in their final stages. The Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca produced all vaccines have proven to be more than 95 percent effective as the latest data states.
No serious side-effects
The aforementioned Covid-19 vaccines have reportedly shown zero to none of the serious side-effects. However, only 2 percent of the overall data shows mild headaches and tiredness after getting vaccinated. The prevalent concerns regarding the vaccine’s effect on the elderly have also been catered for in the latest data and have shown an overall 94 percent effectiveness.
Pfizer and BioNTech have also announced producing 50 million of the doses by the end of this year. And another 1.3 billion by the end of next year. Each individual would need to get vaccinated twice for it to be effective against the corona-virus.
