A UK-based company, Dreams, has recently showcased its first gaming bed, christened “The Drift,” which comes with a promising new design. This £1,800 bed is available in three different sizes, i.e., small double, double, and king size, and is equipped with a built-in 32-inch TV integrated at the foot of the bed, which can be enshrouded at sleep time. Not to mention, this futuristic gaming bed has adequate space to hold game consoles, headset holders, and USB ports on each side. It should be noted that The Drift swung into action as soon as IKEA made its debut in the gaming world, and, since then, it has grown in popularity.
Coupled with this, Fabio Perrotta, who is the director of Buying at Dreams, said: “We’ve seen a real shift in attitudes towards gaming since the pandemic, as well as a demand from people wanting to enjoy the gaming experience in comfort and style.” He added, “Dreams understand that beds are so much more than just a place for us to rest our heads, which inspired us to create the first ever gaming bed available up to king size.” In addition to this, the bed has three mind-blowing finishing features, i.e., “black faux leather with green piping, black faux leather with blue piping, and grey fabric with black piping,” as described by the company.
Furthermore, the development of this type of bed comes in response to the research work that was conducted to determine how people view gaming and entertainment in today’s era. The findings of the research demonstrated that around 50% of the British population associate gaming with “a form of entertainment”. Hence, seeing these optimistic results, the manufacturers of The Drift decided to manufacture this masterpiece.
To that end, Ewa Rychert, who is the Global Business Leader of Workspaces at IKEA, stated, “We believe there’s a lot to be done to democratize the gaming experience. We’ve taken the first step on our gaming journey, and have done it by offering consumers affordable, high-performing gaming products and complete home solutions that we hope reflect people’s personalities and tastes. ” So, for all the gaming enthusiasts out there, what are you waiting for?
