This Modular Next-Generation Shovel Has 18 Tools Built In

A standard shovel just doesn’t do any more nowadays, and that is exactly why creative gear makers are incorporating all sorts of bits and pieces into the conventional shovel design. We have seen fishing lines and even flashlights becoming a part of the shovel with a variety of other complimentary bits and pieces as well. The latest in this niche is the EST Shovel that comes from EST Gear and has a total of incredible 18 tools. It can be taken apart without breaking a sweat and then stored in a pouch for carrying it easily into the wild.

As of right now, the EST Shovel is raising funds on Indiegogo. The EST Shovel is an adventure tool with a carbon steel spade and military-grade aluminum handle for lightening the tool. It has a serrated edge along one side of the blade for helping the user to battle stubborn materials and comes with a foam grip for making handling easier.

The tools that the EST Shovel has to offer include an axe, spear, bottle opener, knife, fire-starter, trowel, wire-cutter, hexagon wrenches, nail puller, pick, ruler, hook, waterproof storage, compass, rope cutter, screwdriver, and whistle.

The list of tools is most definitely amazing, to say the least. It becomes even more impressive when you consider the fact that EST Shovel only weighs 2.5 pounds. What adds to the portability of this amazing gadget is its modularity. What do we mean? We mean that the EST Shovel can be taken apart and individual tools can be utilized as needed, apart from the fact that they can be placed in a purpose-built carry pouch for transport.

EST Gear is currently offering the EST Shovel for a pledge of $59 on Indiegogo. The package includes the carry pouch. If the campaign goes according to plan, shipping is bound to start in June. Check out the pitch video below and do let us know what you think of the incredible EST Shovel!
