The annual eVolo Skyscraper Competition started in 2006. This year’s jury for the eVolo Skyscraper Competition comprised of Melike Alt?n?s?k, Vincent Callebaut, Marc Fornes, and Mitchell Joachim. The jury had a total of 478 entrants and has announced one winner, two runners-up and 27 honorable mentions.

The first position in 2019 eVolo Skyscraper Competition was secured by Methanscraper. It was put forth by Serbia’s Marko Dragicevic. The concept was imagined for Belgrade and entailed a modular tower that would be able to house waste and recycle it. This would be an alternative to burying waste in landfill. During the recycling process, methane gas will be collected and then used for the production of electricity.
