This building has a moving bamboo-esque facade and is a new financial quarter built near the waterfront of Shanghai’s old town. Brainchild of the British architectural firms, Foster + Partners and Heatherwick Studio, it the latest architectural addition to the Bund’s already artful glitz and glamor, and is attracting flocks of tourists from across the country who just want to have a glimpse of this masterpiece.
“a moving veil, which adapts to the changing use of the building, and reveals the stage on the balcony and views towards Pudong”.
Pretty neat, right?
