Tesla Has Started Marketing Its FSD V12 – And It Has Some Impressive Real-World Results

Tesla is undoubtedly one of the leading EV manufacturers not only in the US but also around the globe. The company has previously touted its Full Self-Driving (FSD), but to say the least, there have been hitches.

With its latest version, the 12.3.1 software update, Tesla is taking an unconventional route. Instead of simply listing features, Tesla is showcasing the prowess of FSD V12.3.1 through authentic scenarios depicted in videos. The clips, as shown by Tesla, portray the software navigating through complex situations, such as negotiating obstacle-filled parking lots, executing precise maneuvers like U-turns and intricate left turns, and demonstrating pedestrian recognition capabilities, including responses to hand gestures.

Musk and Tesla are hell-bent on furthering the autonomous driving software this time. In line with their vision, Tesla is extending a one-month free trial offer of the $12,000 FSD technology to all customers in the US. Musk has also issued executive directives that all new cars delivered in North America should be installed with the FSD V12.3.1. Tesla sales advisers have also been tasked to assist customers by providing FSD test rides, further enhancing user engagement.

The release of the FSD version 12.3.1 has gone down well with the Tesla enthusiasts. It has been highly appreciated for its notable performance enhancements. This shift is pointing towards progress, and the company would achieve autonomy levels 4 and 5.

With all said and done, the FSD V12.3 beta will have to be supervised by humans. It has made huge advancements but still cannot operate independently in all conditions. We will have to wait and watch how long it takes Tesla to achieve full autonomy.
