Tesla Cybertruck Has 146,000 Orders Already, Says Musk!

You all have seen the amazing Cybertruck that was unveiled by Tesla, along with the mishap that took place. Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk tweeted on Saturday, claiming that 146,000 orders for the Tesla Cybertruck had been received after only 48 hours of its unveiling.

The tweet read, ‘146k Cybertruck orders so far, with 42% choosing dual, 41% tri & 17% single motor.’ He then also tweeted announcing that the orders had been received without any kind of advertisement or paid endorsements. The Cybertruck is priced at $39,900, and one has to provide an upfront payment of $100 to reserve an order. The company has plans to commence the manufacturing of the truck sometime in late 2021.

The Cybertruck had to undergo a minor setback during its unveiling as well. So, what happened? Its armored glass windows shattered during a live demonstration about how shatterproof the armored glass windows were, and this came as a shock to Musk, who actually claimed that the company had run thorough tests before the unveiling ceremony.

Elon Musk said on Thursday, ‘We threw wrenches, we threw everything even literally the kitchen sink at the glass, and it didn’t break. For some weird reason, it broke now. I don’t know why. We will fix it in post.’ The Cybertruck offers a range of up to 500 miles on a single charge. Furthermore, Elon Musk has also tweeted where he describes the vehicles to be as ‘Better truck than an F-150, faster than a Porsche 911.’
