The property value in London is sky-high. Due to this reason, even the skinniest of plots attract the developers and can find significant value in them. One such example is the Slim House which is only 91 inches or 2,3 meters in width and is currently on the market for $1.4 million.

The Slim House is located in St. John’s Hill, Wandsworth, London. To give a better idea about its size, it is narrower than a London tube carriage. The house is built on three stories and occupies a plot which was originally an empty alleyway. The alleyway underwent an extension in 2013 by the London-based firm Alma-nac.

The architects increased the length and added a sloping roof with the addition of multiple skylights to increase the natural lighting inside. The floor space is a total of 98 square meters, which is a lot more than what you might expect from a first glance.

The Slim House does not seem claustrophobic and is very livable from the inside. There are two reception rooms on that greet the visitors on entering the premises. The two rooms are separated by a staircase. The kitchen and breakfast room are located to the rear and glass doors lead out to a landscaped garden.

On moving up the stairs, you find yourself in the master bedroom with a dressing room and a bathroom with a shower as well as another bedroom. On moving further up, there are a couple of more bedrooms and an even larger bathroom that houses a tub.

Alma-nac kept storage space in mid and installed a lot of built-in cabinetry, shelving, and storage nooks. This is one of the slimmest homes in London according to the firm which from the looks of it is a very reasonable claim. Would you be willing to live in such a home?
