Tired of carrying around a smartwatch and a smartphone separately? Pretty soon, you might not have to. The Shell Smartwatch is set to launch on Indiegogo at the end of this month and serves as both a smartphone as well as a smartwatch.

The Shell Smartwatch acts like any other smartwatch and sits on your wrist peacefully. When you want to use it as a smartphone, you can simply pop out its spring-loaded wings and you have yourself a 4G Android phone. One of the wings acts as a mic and the other one as a speaker but both of them act as antennas.

The top wing also contains a 12-megapixel camera to shoot photos and videos. It can also be rotated 360 degrees. There is no news about the battery life of the new watch but in case of an emergency, you can utilize its internal generator by flexing the wings up and down.

Three to five minutes of flexing should give you an equivalent amount of talk time. Besides from these basic features, it is waterproof. Along with WiFi connectivity, it also has Bluetooth, GPS, and GSM functionality. The crowdfunding campaign is set to start on 31st January.
