Saudi Arabia has presented Laheq as its new visionary development, which consists of a ring-shaped island resort that belongs to the Red Sea giga-project. Foster + Partners from Great Britain created Laheq, which serves as a “Forever Garden” due to its continuous plant life despite its desert environment.
Laheq Island exists as part of Saudi Arabia’s western coastline, where developers established this project inside a collection of 90 untouched islands. The Ring stands as the main attraction of this 400-hectare (988-acre) development because it consists of an 800-meter (2,600-foot) diameter artificial circular structure built above the sea that will contain high-end luxury apartments and hotels. The residential complex will provide both purchaseable homes and luxury vacation rentals for guests.
The island development includes timber-built villas as well as an upscale market and retail zones, entertainment venues, a golf course, and a 115-berth marina. The project prioritizes wellness and sustainability through its water sport facilities that let guests discover the fourth-largest barrier reef in the world among its 2,000 native marine species.

Laheq will reach completion in 2028 after the successful opening of Desert Rock, which is part of the Red Sea development. Red Sea Global, the developer, has declared its commitment to achieving 100% renewable energy operation by 2030 and will maintain mangrove conservation and restore the coastal area.
Among Saudi Arabia’s global tourism development strategies, Laheq serves as a central attraction point. The country’s giga-project development features The Line as part of Neom and Qiddiya entertainment city, together with the Mukaab megastructure and the Jeddah Economic City (JEC) Tower, to showcase its innovative vision of post-oil sustainability and luxury.
