A couple of years ago, a product came into the market that caught the world by storm. It was called the 3Doodler, by WobbleWorks – a pen that put the power of a 3D printer in the palm of your hand. Now the same pen has been made even better, with a new version that’s slimmer, lighter, quieter, and even easier to use. Doodler Pen that 3D Prints – 3Doodler 2.0 2

Just like the original version, it’s by far the most affordable way to 3D print. The 3Doodler makes sculptures out of heated plastic that cools almost instantly into a solid, stable structure, and with no computers or software needed, the possibilities are unlimited. All you have to do is plug your pen into a power socket and start drawing anything. Doodler Pen that 3D Prints – 3Doodler 2.0 3

The 3Doodler 2.0 is 75% smaller than the original, that’s almost the same size as a marker pen. It weighs only 50 grams, which is ½ the weight of the original. The sleek anodized aluminium casing feels great to touch. The drive system that feeds the plastic through the pen has been re-engineered to make the experience smoother, and a double-click function has been added that allows users to doodle without having to hold down any buttons, which becomes tiring. The speed at which the plastic is fed through the pen can now be changed to meet the user’s preference. The temperature can also be altered to change the flow of the plastic. Another improved feature is the drastically reduced power consumption, almost half the voltage of the original product. There’s also a quieter air flow, to cool your plastic more efficiently and make it even easier to Doodle in the air. The new nozzle design also aids in achieving better doodling results. The company is also releasing a series of new accessories to enhance the 3Doodling experience. You can purchase a DoodleStand for your pen and plastic, a JetPack, a portable power pack that gives you the freedom to Doodle on the go, a nozzle face that supports 6 changeable nozzles and a smoothing tool, and a foot Pedal to add versatility to your designs.

Production of 3Doodler 2.0 is soon to start and the device will retail for $99.
