The new Jet-fueled Cybertruck Sting series is here, boasting a staggering 650-mile range but looking even more menacing than before. This latest creation results from an ambitious collaboration between Archimedes Defense and Unplugged Performance, which has led to an “apocalypse-ready” vehicle for off-grid adventurers. Though visually unappealing to many, this armored beast is equipped for survival. Its major highlight? The AMP Drive G125 jet-fuel generator capable of fully recharging Tesla’s battery pack. Mounted in the frunk, the G125 offers flexibility by running on Jet A, JP-8, diesel, and biodiesel fuels, pushing the Cybertruck’s range well beyond the advertised 470 miles to an impressive 680 miles.
The Sting series offers three different models. The Sting Baja, designed with simplicity in mind, features a carbon fiber hood and fenders, underbody skid protection, upgraded suspension, heavy-duty bumpers, rock sliders, and off-road enhancements. Its sleeker, minimalistic design contrasts sharply with the more intense offerings in the series. Mid-tier is the Sting Protector, which arms the Cybertruck with bulletproof steel plating capable of withstanding 7.62-mm assault rifle fire, turning it into a personal bunker on wheels. However, the true juggernaut in the lineup is the flagship Sting APC. This model boasts military-grade ceramic plating, capable of shielding against 14.5-mm machine gun fire, and offers protection from IEDs and landmines, making it fit for war zones.
Archimedes has been specializing in aerospace-grade hybrid propulsion for governmental use, and while the Sting series is expected to launch in 2025, the G125 generator is still in development. The company is currently tight-lipped about pricing, emphasizing that each truck will be highly customized. Despite the mixed reception to its aggressive aesthetics, the Sting series seems primed for those seeking unparalleled off-grid adventure.
