Almost all of our readers are aware of Razr, the iconic phone that was released by Motorola and our avid readers are also aware of the fact that the future of the smartphone industry is headed towards foldable phones. Amidst all of this, the news that Motorola is actually working on a smart and foldable Razr smartphone for its customers has been very well-received.
Motorola has plans of changing its ever-green phone’s keyboard and small LCD with a 6.2-inch foldable plastic OLED panel. The phone will reportedly be launched with the Android 9 Pie software system. The phone is slated to be released in the market in January 2020, with a price tag of $1,499. From what we can tell, the display of the phone is simply outstanding!
It features a 6.2-inch OLED screen with a display of 2142×876. It also has another glass-covered OLED display on the outside of the phone measuring in at 2.7-inch. This secondary screen enables users to take care of text messages, use the camera, listen to music, check the time, and take care of multiple other tasks without having to unfold the phone. Motorola Razr is going to be the second foldable phone in the market following Samsung’s Galaxy Fold.
Despite the issues that Samsung Galaxy Fold is facing, Motorola is quite hopeful that its phone will enjoy smooth sailing. In the words of Motorola, the company has ‘full confidence in the durability of the Flex View display.’
With Motorola Razr coming up, it seems we are about to go back to the earlier days of the cell phone. Over the course of years, we have moved towards making the phones bigger, but it appears that time to make them smaller is here already, and Motorola is heeding the call! What do you think of Motorola Razr, and are you willing to dish out $1,499 to buy one?
