This gene editing technology finds its applications at detecting anomalies in our DNA and usually fixing them. It is comprised of two elements; a guide RNA and the Cas9 protein. The Cas9 can cut the DNA, and the guide RNA is able to ascertain the sequence of DNA that has requires editing.
