The West Japan railway company has apologized to its customers for causing ‘inconvenience’ because a train departed the station 25 seconds earlier. The Japanese Railway Company’s apology came after its express trains left the Notogawa station in central Japan at 7:11:35 am instead of the scheduled time of 7:12 am.
The train was destined to Nishi Akashi station. According to the reports, the train conductor misunderstood the departure time and closed the train doors before schedule. However, the early departure didn’t affect any other trains that day except that one person missed the train. JR West said in a statement, “We inconvenienced our customers very much, and we will strive to prevent this from occurring again.”
The railway system of Japan is famous for being punctual in the world. This is the reason the news of a train leaving the station ahead of time has made an appearance in the headlines. JR West said, “The great inconvenience we placed upon our customers was truly inexcusable. We will be thoroughly evaluating our conduct and striving to keep such an incident from occurring again.” This is the second time any Japanese company has apologized after a train left earlier than the scheduled time. Earlier the managers of the Tsukuba Express Line between Tokyo and Tsukuba apologized because their train left 20 seconds early.
