So now that we all have heard the news about Facebook purchasing Oculus VR, maybe it is time to move forward and see how Facebook plans on incorporating this newly acquired asset to its current empire. In a nutshell, we can safely assume that Facebook is betting on virtual reality to outshine other contenders in the future.

MarkDuring the buyout of Oculus VR, Mark Zuckerberg stated; ‘After games, we are going to make Oculus a platform for many other experiences. Imagine enjoying a court side seat at a game, studying in a classroom of students and teachers all over the world or consulting with a doctor face-to-face — just by putting on goggles in your home.’

Check this outIt is quite obvious that Facebook will soon launch from its current platform of a media network to reach new horizons and some even say, it will rival Google. Even now, internet translates to Facebook for quite a large number people. With all the acquisitions that Facebook has been making, it is quite obvious that it plans to be the centre of activity in the coming years.
