A lot of us have fond memories from our childhood of the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe that we used to drive with our feet while feeling like racecar drivers. The red body, that mustard yellow rood and the feeling of awesomeness was surely thrilling. However, as we have grown up, it seems that this memory will remain a memory and one that we won’t be able to re-live again. Well, this was only until now for John and Geoff Bitmead joined forces with Nigel Douglas (a friend) in 2013 and decided to transform the Daewoo Matiz into a street-legal replica of the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe.
The process required that the roof of the Matiz be chopped off and replaced with a replica of the frame that is exact copy of the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. The modified version doesn’t have windows (obviously) and the car wheels have been adjusted to impart that look of the driver sitting right in front of the rear wheels.
However, this one does comes equipped with an engine that is capable of getting you from 0 to 62Mph in under 17 seconds.
The trio owns Attitude Autos in Oxfordshire, England and has stated that the car cost them almost $58,000 to create. This amount is roughly equal to 1,160 toy-sized Cozy Coupes. But we must admit that it is totally worth it!
